Fact

The entire human race would fit in the volume of a sugar cube.

From a porting point of view, there isn't really a lot to say about this update, but here we go:

Some tweaks were made to the pkg-descr file, and a new autoload module called 'm_gungline.so' was added to provide support for removing G-lines (requiring a modification to the pkg-plist); but apart from that, the changes to ircd-ratbox were mostly internal code updates, fixes and clean-ups - which do not significantly affect the FreeBSD port.

At the time of writing, the patch has already been committed to the tree and should be available as soon as the port update has propagated to the mirrors.

Software Changes

General list of changes in this ircd-ratbox release include:

  • Fix SSL+zip close detection.
  • Fix OpenSSL detection when OpenSSL is a static library.
  • Add gungline support.
  • Fix a problem with SSL connections not being accepted on Solaris and perhaps other platforms as well.
  • Attempt to report the real network errors on SSL connections a bit better.
  • Actually update the internal timekeeping when using sigio.
  • Fix an off by one error in ziplink stats processing.
